Wot, no festival weekend?

15 April 2015 by

Our team of volunteers, hangers-on and ne’er-do-wells here at Deal Folk by the Sea have decided that we will not be running an annual weekend folk festival for the foreseeable future.

We have decided to focus our efforts on smaller scale events which may or may not include singarounds, busking, barn dances, workshops and other nefarious pursuits. Ukuleles may also be involved.

We would like to thank all the people who have contributed to the festival in all its guises over the years and who knows? Maybe one day it will return.

Thanks for supporting us and please keep watching the website for news of our events..

Does anyone know of any Deal Buskers that might possibly be in Deal on Saturday 14th January 2017 as we Talk it Out will be out on the High Street outside Diva’s Boutique, Marks and Spencer and The Landmark Centre obtaining 100,000 signatures to take to the Houses of Parliament for better funding and support for Mental Health Services in the Deal and the surrounding areas. It would be lovely to have some music for this occasion. If you know of anyone please can you contact us on the details below. Thank you.
